The old Search feature now only returns Article results.
The new Customization Search can be accessed by typing a desired search term in the "Search Customization..." box and hitting "Enter".
The new Customization Search allows users to choose a subset of categories to search within. Each category can be toggled on and off independently. These categories include all available customization sections and related categories:

Shop Listings
The Customization Search only searches based on the name of each item. Searching based on other fields is not currently supported.
Your most recent search is reflected in the URL of the page, so you can quickly and easily open the search in a different browser or share it with others.
The search status is reported openly and will indicate whether errors occurred during the search process.
We highly recommend waiting at least 60 seconds before retrying a search if no items were returned due to errors.

Performed a massive backend overhaul of most of the import functions and page code. While the benefits will not be immediately apparent, the site itself will be better equipped to handle the transition to future seasons, requiring much less development and test on the day of launch.

By default, no Hidden items are shown.
To view Hidden items, you can change the Show Hidden Filter on any item list page to either "Any" or "Hidden Only".
The former will show all items regardless of Hidden status, while the latter will only show items that are Hidden.
To view Hidden Attachments, visit the page of a parent item (currently only Helmets), scroll down to the Attachments section, and click the Show Hidden Attachments button.
A similar button has been added to Attachment pages to view Hidden parent items.
Added pagination to Armor item pages with Attachments and Armor Attachment item pages to support more than 10 Attachments or parent items for a given item/Attachment.

When first selecting the Customization page from the main menu, click the View Shop Bundles button.
The list of Shop Bundles shows both HCS and non-HCS deals, their costs, and for how long they are usually available. As with most content lists on the site, filters can be used to refine this list to show, for example:
Only those items currently for sale
All items sold previously but not available presently
Only HCS items
Only Weekly items
Only Epic items
And more!
Shop Bundle pages list all the usual information you would expect, but they also feature a list of each customization item included in the Bundle, with links to said items.
Added an extra line of text to each item listing indicating its source category (e.g. Battle Pass - Paid, Shop, External, Promotional, etc.)
If an item has multiple sources, each source appears on the same line, separated by a comma and a space (", ").

Customization:
Removed the Promotional filter from all customization lists.
Added a new Sources subsection in the Filters menu.
Each Source listed, such as Promotional, Default, or Capstone Challenge, is a broad category in which items obtained through that source type are included.
Checking a Source will include all items obtained through that Source in the list, provided they also match the conditions specified in the other filters.
Unchecking a Source will remove all items obtained through that Source unless they are obtained through a different, checked Source.
Clicking the Deselect All button will uncheck all Source boxes, causing the list to completely empty.
Clicking the Select All button effectively removes Source filtering by including all Sources.
All Source changes affect results in real-time.
Note that almost all items currently fall into one of three categories: (Pending), Default, or Promotional. The (Pending) items will be reassigned to other Sources after launch once more information is available. Some items may also have more than one Source, particularly in the case of Promotional items.

I do not anticipate any further changes to the URLs, barring massive restructuring in Halo Infinite's customization hierarchy.

Added new Filter and Quick Search features to the Armor Customization Item List.
Note that the following features apply on top of the existing Armor Core and Socket filtering. Filtering on the Mark VII Armor Coatings page, for example, can only show a curated list of Mark VII Armor Coatings. No other cosmetics will appear on the page, regardless of the Filter and Quick Search inputs.
Filter
Clicking the Filter icon will open a set of four Filters that can be independently customized.
Multiple Filters can be set at once, with a logical AND applied between the filters (items must meet both filter conditions to be shown).
Quality: Choose from: Any, Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, N/A, (Pending).
Available: Choose from: Any, Available, Not Available.
Promotional: Choose from: Any, Promos Only, No Promos.
Release: Choose from: Any, N/A, (Pending).
Once we get closer to launch and can confirm the release season of many of these items, this will be updated to include the new Seasons.
Known Issue: When no items are returned due to the filter selections, the pagination is not correctly set.
Quick Search
Type a search term to automatically filter for all customization items with the search term somewhere in the name. This is case-insensitive (i.e. typing "bone" will return all items whose names include "Bone", "BONE", etc.).
Clear the search term to remove the name filter.
Other customization sections will receive these updates in the future. Stay tuned!

Body & AI Customization, Presentation Customization, and Consumables have been updated to use more responsive buttons and include all new content from the July 2021 Tech Preview.
Existing content has been updated where applicable in the same way as the other Customization content.
Since XP Boosts are always 30 minutes in duration, the 2-hour, 5-hour, and 12-hour XP Boosts have been removed from the Consumables section.

Previously: Content with (Pending) for the Applicable Core(s) field was always displayed, no matter the Core selection.

Added a video walkthrough of the Presentation customizations to the Customization Part 2 - Technical Preview July 2021 article. This video, made by NewHorizonsGaming, shows each Player Emblem Form as it appeared in-game, and it includes samples of each Spartan Voice that could be selected.
Find this addition by searching for "Update:" without quotes. Or, jump to the Presentation section and find it just under the bulleted list of subsections.
Customization:
Published the first set of changes to the Customization section.
The Armor option now takes you to a list of Armor Cores. You can either select an Armor Core or view more details on the Core. Or, you can select the "Any" option to avoid filtering by a particular Core.
Selecting an Armor Core allows you to choose one of the Sockets to filter customization items. Or, you can choose the "Any" option to show items from all Sockets on the selected Core.
The Item list is mostly identical to how it previously was, but it now supports showing multiple Customization Types at once.
Added the Manufacturer, Quality, and Released fields for each customization item, matching the information provided in-game.
Released is currently set to "(Pending)" on all items due to the possibility that things may change between now and launch.
The color of the Quality text matches the value (i.e. Common is gray, Rare is blue, Epic is purple, and Legendary is yellow.)
Added a slight animation when hovering over buttons to help clarify the edges of the button and show when it has been selected.
Note that this does not affect all Customization menus yet. This improvement will be added as each Customization category is revised to fit the new flow.
Updated and added new details to nearly every armor customization item.
Images have been improved everywhere possible, as well.
Added every new armor customization item seen in the Technical Preview.
This brings the total number of known armor customization items to more than 100, spread over three Cores and thirteen Sockets.

Announcement:
I have been working nonstop over the last several days to complete the below article. While completing it marks a tremendous accomplishment, I am not stopping here. Once the Tech Preview has concluded, I will be writing up an additional article going over some more details about the game from my own experiences. I will also find a way to deliver several hundred in-game screenshots through an album of some kind if you're interested in seeing every last detail I felt was worthy of inclusion.
Finally, I will be drastically updating the Customization section. There have been many Customization items shown, as well as new details about exactly how it works, so I will be refining the existing listings and adding new information whenever I have time.
Unfortunately, I am just one person, and this is a truly monumental project in front of me. While I will work diligently in my spare time, I must ask for some patience as I continue to manage my time between this site and my other IRL responsibilities, especially as we approach Fall. I may fall a bit behind publishing the latest information when it happens, but I'll be sure everything gets published sooner or later.
